About Me

I received my bachelor’s degree from Vassar College and my master’s and doctorate degrees from the University of Southern California. I have been in private practice since 2000, working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families from various cultural backgrounds. In addition to having direct clinical practice experience, I have substantial experience teaching the master’s students at the University of Southern California School of Social Work.

I consider each individual to have his or her unique history and experiences and therefore tailor my wide-ranging knowledge and experiences to each client’s needs. With respect and compassion, I strive to offer a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship which is critical in helping people to heal. Within this context I help clients to explore, understand, and transcend dysfunctional patterns of behavior and beliefs which create difficulties in present day relationships and conquer obstacles to a more fulfilling life.
